The Association of Architects of Serres organizes a Panhellenic Conference on “The architecture of the city and new horizons. SERRES ±100” on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the design of the modern city in 1925. The Conference will take place on 28-29 November 2025, at the Municipal Theatre of Serres.
The Conference is addressed to the members of the scientific community, members of the Public Administration, representatives of Institutions and Organizations and every active citizen.
The purpose of the Conference is to examine the challenges and opportunities that urban centres of similar characteristics have in today’s world. It also aims to promote a fruitful dialogue between members of the scientific community, the Administration, Agencies and city professionals and to exchange experiences on issues of architecture and urban space, as developed in the thematic sections of the Conference. The ultimate goal is the dissemination of knowledge oriented to the new order of things for cities in the Greek periphery.
