ARTION, celebrating 30 years of active presence in the field of conference and event organization, has recorded a dynamic course, which, over the decades, has been characterized by growth, extroversion, and internationalization.
The company was founded in 1995 by sisters Despoina and Valentini Amantidou, and from its very first steps, it stood out for its methodical approach, consistency, and quality of its events, elements that shaped its philosophy and identity and continue to accompany it to this day.
ARTION’s activities soon expanded beyond Greece’s borders, with the company undertaking the organization of conferences in Europe, America, and Asia. Among other things, it undertook the strategic promotion of international conference destinations, such as Azerbaijan and Slovakia, as well as the management and development of large international scientific companies.
A significant milestone for ARTION was its recent certification by the International Association of Professional Congress Organizers (IAPCO), the highest international certification body in the industry. The company is one of five certified members in Greece and the only one in Northern Greece.
ARTION celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special party on December 19, 2025, at the Grand Hotel Palace in Thessaloniki, attended by a large number of associates and friends from the business, medical, academic, and wider professional tourism circles. Three distinguished guests spoke about ARTION at the event: Konstantinos Gkioulekas, Deputy Minister of the Interior (Macedonia and Thrace), Athanasios Exadaktylos, President of the Panhellenic Medical Association, and Nikos Efthymiadis, President and CEO of the International Technology Center Thess INTEC SA. The evening provided an opportunity to look back on the company’s successful track record, offering an optimistic view of the future and confirming its long-standing commitment to quality, cooperation, and an international perspective for the conference industry.
